The Upper Andro is managed as a trophy water for browns and rainbows. The current state record rainbow was caught on this stretch of water and 3 pound fish are not uncommon. This is one of our favorite trips because it flows through the beautiful White Mountains, the fish can be really
big and because we think Bethel is a pretty special place.

In a land of fly fishing legends the lines between fantasy and reality are often blurred. Rangeley Maine is a Mecca for cold water fly fishermen and has been since the turn of the century when people first began to flock to the area in search of trout and salmon.

Nestled in the western mountains of Maine, the Rangeley Region is full of the history and lore of fishing days gone by and the brook trout and landlocked salmon that still abound in area streams, rivers and ponds.

Names like Carrie Stevens, Herbie Welch, and Fly Rod Crosby are still echoed throughout the area, where flies like the Grey Ghost and Black Ghost were first tied in attempts to fool weary brook trout.

Maine and New Hampshire are where several species of saltwater fish spend their summer. Striped bass and shad arrive here sometimes as early as April. Prime time for stripers is from June through September. Bluefish usually show up in July and will continue to bite through early October.
