High water

With all this rain, the Penobscot River has been running high and last Thursday, Friday and Saturday I wasto be  guiding on it. The first two days I end up fishing a pond and they got a lot of smaller bass but did get in to some real pigs on poppers. Bob hooked one that was over 20 inches but the fish won and landed several over 17 inches and a 19.

On the last day we were able to get back on the river and we had a great day, landing over 40 on poppers and missing as many,so we had action all day. The biggest fish was Larry with a 19 1/4 inch small mouth, that is a big river fish! It was his biggest to date.
