Maine Striper Bass

Raining Day fishing

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Bill Blake was up from Texas and he wanted to treat his future brother in-law to some fishing, so he called me on a favor. We had  a great time, we landed 23 in three hours, mostly on flies. I gave Rob some casting lessons and he was able to catch his first fish on a fly. It was by far the coldest, wet ride back to the boat launch I have ever had.

Tough Day

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I guided George and his dad John from Louisiana. They wanted a lot of action so crappie was my choice but the water was higher and muddy plus Alewives were every where. They did manage a few fish and we had some laughs. It was great to have a couple of guys out who really appreciate the environment around them.

Memorial Weekend

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

I spent the weekend guiding Alec, Ed, and Frank. They did really well for high winds, fluctuating water and a hook in the hand.
